BRASCRS 2024 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
One notable event in the first semester of 2024 was the BRASCRS congress, in Brazil, which brought together thousands of eye care professionals, 500 national speakers, and 70 international speakers. This year, with our partner Ophthalmos Rohto, we had our biggest booth ever at the event, reflecting our growing influence and ambition. We conducted five booth presentations on our revolutionary Intensity technology, by Prof. Ehud Assia, Dr. Germán Bianchi, Dr. André Berger, Dr. Renato Fernandes, and Dr. Alex Sá – each attracting significant interest and engagement. To further connect with cataract surgeons, we organized an exclusive dinner event for 100 top professionals, fostering deeper discussions and relationships.
Real-world visual acuity results as a convincing tool

DOC in Nuremberg, Germany, and 100% Optical in London, UK
Another standout event in the first semester of 2024 was the DOC in Germany. Marking the launch of Hanita Lenses GmbH, this was the first time we presented at the German congress as a company with our own team. Focusing on Intensity and the technology behind it, this meeting signified an important step in our plan to strengthen our market presence and engage more closely with local ophthalmology professionals.
Also worth mentioning was the UK’s 100% Optical, which this year came together with 100% Ophthalmology and saw around 10,000 national and international visitors and more than 200 exhibitors. With our partner Birmingham Optical, we were proud to be part of the scientific seminar program where Mr. Andrew Walkden presented a report on the Active IOL, and Mr. Say Aun Quah discussed the benefits of the Intensity technology. This opportunity allowed us to highlight our products’ effectiveness and innovation to a broad audience of cataract surgery professionals.
