I hope this finds you well and content. As we reflect on 2023, a year marked by challenges and triumphs, I am excited to share our journey and outline the promising path that lies ahead.
It is unfortunate that the most substantial and impactful event of 2023 was the October War, one that truly tested our resilience and commitment to our partners, customers, shareholders, and employees alike. The initial shock was followed by a fantastic rapid recovery. In less than two weeks a fully operational logistics center was established, and a month later an alternative production site was audited and approved, the auditors were astonished by the swift unprecedent impressive recovery. Clearly, this would never have been achieved without the complete commitment and hard work of our team.
On the bright side, in the past year we have been engaged in heavy M&A activities, advanced the development of our premium HP EDOF and Intensity technologies, implemented a new ERP system to support our global expansion, acquired new production and testing equipment to support our future sales demand, granted patent for our breakthrough Penta Focal Intensity technology, and finally added a total of 21 employees, 9 of them overseas to support our sales growth.
The coming year, 2024, will be pivotal for Hanita Group in which our brand and technology will become stronger and stable than ever. This will be achieved through our newly established subsidiaries and joint ventures in 6 (!) markets, our increasing presence in all strategic International and national congresses, our launch of Intensity Hydrophobic and Extended optics Hydrophobic IOL’s, and the expansion of clinical studies in leading research institutions across the globe.
Our growth will be supported by a stronger supply chain with additional production capacity, and a fine-tuned marketing strategy for our Penta Focal technology. Finally, our team will advance the development of our own injection system perfectly designed and optimized for our IOL’s.
In closing, the challenges of 2023 have only strengthened and sharpened our focus. With an unwavering commitment to innovation, teamwork, and customer satisfaction, we look forward to achieving new milestones and reaching greater heights in 2024.
